Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water (around 110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional: garlic powder, chopped herbs, cheese

  • Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  • In a separate container, stir together the warm water and melted butter.
  • Pour the warm mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 15–20 minutes.
  • Once puffed up, punch the dough down, divide it into 8 pieces, and shape each into a ball.
  • Place the shaped rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) during the second rise.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
