1 lb of ground beef
2 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1-inch piece of ginger, grated
2 tsp of cumin seeds
1–2 green chilies, slit
1/2 cup of water
Salt to taste
2 tbsp of oil
Instructions
Heat the oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat until a shimmery sheen appears.
Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown, stirring frequently.
Stir in the cumin seeds and let them sizzle before adding the garlic and ginger.
Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula, cooking until browned.
Mix in the chopped tomatoes and green chilies, allowing them to break down.
Fold in the chopped potatoes and salt, add water, mix well, then cover and simmer on low for about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Check if the potatoes are soft and flavors are melded. Adjust seasonings if necessary.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves and your chosen toppings.
