- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- Optional: chopped nuts (1/2 cup), chocolate chips (1/2 cup), dried cranberries or raisins
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg followed by the apple cider, blending until fully combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter-sugar mix, stirring until just combined.
- Using a tablespoon or a cookie scoop, drop dollops of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Indent the center of each dough ball slightly and add about a teaspoon of caramel sauce into each indentation.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
