1 can (5 oz) of tuna
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 green onions (chopped)
1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions
Start by draining the tuna to remove any excess liquid. Pat it dry with paper towels to avoid soggy cakes.
In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Sprinkle in some salt and pepper. Use your hands to mix until well combined.
Take a handful of the mixture and form it into a patty about 1 inch thick. Repeat with the rest of the mixture—this should make about 6-8 cakes.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the tuna cakes in the pan, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy.
