  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well blended.
  • Toss in the chilled, cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, molasses, and egg until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ones. Stir gently with a spatula until just combined.
  • On a lightly floured surface, turn the dough out and gently pat it into a disc about one inch thick. Cut into wedges or shapes.
  • Place the scones on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  • While the scones bake, make your glaze by mixing equal parts Biscoff spread with a little milk until drizzly.
  • Once the scones are baked and slightly cooled, drizzle the Biscoff glaze over the top.
