  • Fresh blueberries for garnish (optional)
  • Vanilla bean pod for garnish (optional)

  • Instructions

  • Rinse the blueberries gently under cold water and remove any stems. If you like a smoother jam, mash them lightly with a fork.
  • In a large pot, combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  • Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Once boiling, stir in the pectin and keep it at a steady boil for 1-2 minutes while stirring constantly.
  • To check if your jam is ready, dribble a bit onto a cold plate and place it in the freezer for a minute.
  • Carefully ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving about ¼-inch headspace at the top.
  • Let the jars sit at room temperature for about 24 hours to properly seal.
