Spicy Cajun Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo Discover an irresistible recipe for creamy flavorful pasta that elevates your dinner experience to new heights
Ingredients
Scale
12 oz Fettuccine
1 lb Chicken Breast
2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
1 cup Heavy Cream
1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
3 cloves Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Vegetables (optional, e.g., bell peppers, spinach)
Fresh Parsley or Basil (for garnishing)
Extra Grated Parmesan (for garnishing)
Instructions
Cook the Fettuccine: Start by boiling water in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water for later.
Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing.
Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Make sure to scrape up any brown bits left from the chicken, as they add flavor to the sauce.
Create the Alfredo Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, use the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Combine: Add the cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are well coated in the Alfredo sauce.
Serve: Plate the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and garnish with fresh parsley or basil, and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy immediately!
