1 sheet of puff pastry
1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
2 tablespoons of gochujang paste
3–4 spring onions, finely chopped
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out your puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface until slightly larger.
In a bowl, combine the shredded cheese, gochujang, chopped spring onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Evenly distribute the cheese mixture over the pastry sheet, leaving a small border around the edges.
Starting from one edge, carefully roll the pastry sheet into a tight log.
Use a sharp knife to cut the log into 1-inch thick slices.
Place each spiral cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Gently brush the top of each swirl with the beaten egg.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they’re puffed up and golden brown.
Allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving platter.
