  • 2 lbs frozen hashbrowns
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cooked and crumbled bacon, diced green onions, pepper jack cheese for a spicy twist, dairy-free sour cream and cheese

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the hashbrowns, cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and pour the mixture into it. Press down gently.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
