2 ¼ teaspoons Active dry yeast
1 cup Whole milk, warmed
¼ cup Granulated sugar
¼ cup Unsalted butter, melted
1 large Egg
3–4 cups All-purpose flour
2 tablespoons Cinnamon
½ cup Brown sugar
1 cup Chocolate chips
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy and bubbly.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, salt, and the yeast mixture. Gradually add in 3 cups of flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5–7 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle approximately 16×12 inches in size.
Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips evenly across the surface.
Roll the dough tightly from the long side, pinching the seam to secure it, and cut into 12 equal slices.
Place the slices in a greased baking dish, cover them again, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before drizzling with cream cheese frosting or a simple glaze.
