  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

  • Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy and bubbly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, salt, and the yeast mixture. Gradually add in 3 cups of flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5–7 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
  • Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle approximately 16×12 inches in size.
  • Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips evenly across the surface.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the long side, pinching the seam to secure it, and cut into 12 equal slices.
  • Place the slices in a greased baking dish, cover them again, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
