  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • Optional: 1 cup shredded cheese (Parmesan or cheddar)
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and celery until they’re soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, sautéed onion and celery, dried cranberries, bread crumbs, sage, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  • With your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball, and place them on a greased baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
