Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground turkey
1 cup dried cranberries
2 cups bread crumbs
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 tablespoon dried sage
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Optional: 1 cup shredded cheese (Parmesan or cheddar)
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and celery until they’re soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, sautéed onion and celery, dried cranberries, bread crumbs, sage, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
With your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball, and place them on a greased baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
