Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy—about 3-4 minutes.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thickness and cut out heart shapes with cookie cutters.
