Ingredients
1 batch croissant dough (or use store-bought, but fresh is better)
1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough
Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp milk)
Optional: sea salt, dark chocolate chunks, hazelnuts
Instructions
Roll out croissant dough into rectangles
Place a scoop of cookie dough in the center
Fold the edges of the croissant dough around the filling
Brush with egg wash
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes
Cool slightly, then serve warm
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate with at least 60% cocoa
Chill your assembled crookies before baking to prevent spreading
Bake on parchment to reduce sticking and burning
