Instructions
- Start by greasing a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and cayenne pepper to the melted mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Remove the pot from heat and quickly fold in the Rice Krispies cereal (and popcorn if using) until coated evenly.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to press it firmly into the pan, spreading it evenly.
- While still warm, sprinkle some edible glitter or colorful sprinkles on top.
- Allow your Firecracker Rice Krispies to cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
