  • 2 tablespoons of heavy cream (or milk)

  • Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  • Drop dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, looking for a set but soft appearance.
  • Cool slightly on baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
