1 cup Fresh Strawberries, sliced
8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
4 slices Bread, preferably brioche or Texas toast
1 Egg, beaten
1/4 cup Milk
Butter for frying
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, sliced strawberries, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Spread a generous amount of the strawberry cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread, then place another slice on top, creating a sandwich. Press down gently to seal.
In a shallow bowl, beat the egg and add a splash of milk. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating each side well.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter until bubbly. Carefully place the coated sandwiches in the skillet and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Once fried, transfer the sandwiches to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess butter. Dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
