Take your steak out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Pat it dry and season generously with salt and pepper.Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it get hot.Place the steak in the hot skillet and sear without moving it for about 4-5 minutes.
