  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for rolling)

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until it’s light and fluffy.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this mixture to your butter-sugar base, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped nuts if using.
  • Shape the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden on the edges.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then roll in powdered sugar.
  • Transfer to a cooling rack and optionally sprinkle more powdered sugar on top.
