1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 fresh pineapple, sliced into rings
Olive oil, for grilling
4 whole wheat burger buns
Your favorite burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, sauce)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and gently form them into patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and brush the pineapple slices lightly with olive oil. Grill them for 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized. Set aside.
On the same grill, add the turkey patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute until golden. Layer on your toppings, add the turkey patty, and top with the grilled pineapple.
