  • 10 grams of instant yeast
  • 300 milliliters of whole milk
  • 30 grams of unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 large egg

  • Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the bread flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  • In another bowl, warm the milk slightly and add in the softened butter and the egg, mixing until well combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until it begins to come together into a shaggy dough.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place your dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Gently punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces, shaping each into a ball.
  • Arrange the balls in a greased baking pan, cover them again, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow them to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
