  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the maple syrup and the egg, mixing until fully combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set but still soft.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
