  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to your butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently stir in the toasted pecans.
  • Add in the maple syrup and mix until just incorporated.
  • Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, placing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • While they cool, whisk together the maple glaze ingredients until smooth, then drizzle over the cookies.
