Ingredients
Scale
1 ½ cups of pumpkin puree
¾ cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
½ teaspoon of salt
2 large eggs
1 cup of heavy cream
1 cup of chopped pecans
1 store-bought pie crust
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If you’re using a store-bought pie crust, place it into a 9-inch pie pan and press it firmly against the sides. Poke a few holes in the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until well combined.
Beat the eggs lightly in a separate bowl, then add them to the pumpkin mixture along with the heavy cream. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
Fold in the chopped pecans gently until they are evenly distributed throughout the filling.
Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes or until the filling is set and the edges are slightly puffed.
Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour.
Top with whipped cream before serving. Enjoy your delicious Pecan Pumpkin Cream Pie!
