Ingredients
Scale
1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
1/2 cup of marinara sauce
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup of mini pepperoni
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners or grease it lightly.
Once your puff pastry is thawed, roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
Cut the pastry into rectangles, about 3 inches by 5 inches.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over each rectangle. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, top with mini pepperoni and a sprinkle of oregano.
Gently fold the pastry rectangle into long strips, then roll from one end to the other to create the rose shape.
Place each rose into the muffin tin, standing upright.
Brush the tops of your roses with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Let them cool slightly before garnishing with fresh basil leaves or a sprinkle of parmesan.
