Ingredients
- Fresh Plums (4 cups, sliced)
- Granulated Sugar (¾ cup)
- All-Purpose Flour (2 cups)
- Oats (1 cup)
- Butter (1 cup, softened)
- Ground Cinnamon (1 tsp)
- Baking Powder (½ tsp)
- Salt (¼ tsp)
- Lemon Juice (1 tbsp)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced plums with ¼ cup of sugar and lemon juice. Stir gently and let them sit.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, remaining sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press about two-thirds of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread the plum mixture evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the remaining crumble on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the plums are bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack.
- Slice into squares and serve with a garnish of powdered sugar or a scoop of ice cream if desired.
