Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add this mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Gently fold in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
