Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash 4 ripe bananas well with a fork until they are mostly smooth, leaving a few small lumps for texture.
  • Add 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, and 1 tsp vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk until the mixture is combined.
  • In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp nutmeg.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with 1 cup of milk. Stir until just combined—don’t overmix!
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish (a 9×13 inch dish works great) and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
