Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Cavatappi Pasta
  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Blackened Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • Fresh Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cavatappi pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the blackened seasoning until evenly coated.
  • Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are opaque and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the reserved pasta water and Parmesan cheese. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Combine and Serve: Add the cooked cavatappi and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
