  • a handful Thai Basil, roughly chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Shallot, thinly sliced
  • 2 Red Chili Peppers, sliced; adjust to taste
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • Optional: Sliced bell peppers, snap peas or green beans, red pepper flakes, fresh basil leaves, chopped peanuts or cashews

  • Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients: Mince the garlic, slice the shallots and chili peppers, and chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  • Heat the oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Sauté aromatics: Add the garlic and shallots to the pan and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Cook the chicken: Increase heat to high and add the chicken. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  • Add sauces: Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar until chicken is evenly coated.
  • Include chilies and basil: Toss in the sliced chili peppers and chopped Thai basil. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
