Ingredients
Scale
1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup of unsalted butter
1 cup of sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon of baking powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and butter. Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth and melted. Let it cool slightly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate and butter with sugar. Stir well until it's nice and smooth. Then, add in the eggs, one at a time, and the vanilla extract, mixing until everything is combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined, but don’t over mix.
If you have time, let the dough chill for about 30 minutes.
Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll them into balls.
Roll the dough balls in powdered sugar.
Place them on your baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
