2 cups of fruit filling (fruit preserves, fresh fruit, or even chocolate)
¼ cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
1 tablespoon maple syrup (or agave syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Flour for dusting
Non-dairy milk for brushing (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
On a lightly floured surface, unfold your thawed puff pastry and gently roll it out to about ¼ inch thick.
Cut the puff pastry into squares of about 4×4 inches.
Combine your chosen fruit filling, chopped nuts, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a bowl and mix until well-combined.
Place a generous spoonful of the filling in the center of each pastry square.
Fold the corners of each square towards the center and pinch the ends to seal them tightly.
