  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture into your wet ingredients.
  • Roll the dough into small balls (about two tablespoons each) and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes. The edges should be set but the centers remain soft.
  • Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie right after they come out of the oven. Let them cool before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Use a piping bag or a spoon to add frosting around the base of the chocolate kiss.
  • Sprinkle on edible glitter or Halloween sprinkles if desired.
