4 pieces of chicken breasts
1/4 cup of lemon juice
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 cup of grated Romano cheese
Fresh herbs (parsley or basil, for garnish)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Lemon zest (optional, for an extra zing)
Instructions
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat two tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the lemon juice and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, scraping up any flavorful bits stuck to the bottom of the pan.
