A quick and satisfying beef and broccoli stir-fry with a rich soy-based sauce that warms the soul.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

Instructions
- Start by gathering all your ingredients. Thinly slice the beef against the grain and prepare your broccoli by cutting it into florets.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the beef slices, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
- Then, toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
- Finally, pour the sauce over the mixture, stirring continuously for 1-2 minutes to coat and thicken.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
For variations, try adding bell peppers, carrots, or cashews for additional flavors and textures.
