Description
A delicious and shareable twist on classic tacos, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
- ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather all your ingredients. Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until it’s completely browned, breaking apart any large chunks as it cooks. Drain excess fat, then add the taco seasoning and ¾ cup of water. Let this simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Spread a generous amount of cream cheese across each tortilla, leaving the edges clean. Top with the seasoned beef mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, salsa, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and olives. Be creative but ensure even coverage—every bite should be a flavor explosion! Roll each tortilla tightly, starting from one edge to the other.
- Slice each rolled tortilla into 1-inch pieces and place them on a baking sheet. If you prefer a warm option, bake them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts. Garnish with sliced green onions and fresh herbs for a pop of color when serving.
Notes
Utilize fresh ingredients for the best flavor; you can customize with different cheeses or spices. For a vegetarian version, replace ground beef with black beans.
