- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup tart cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter and whisk in both the granulated and brown sugars until well blended.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mix, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
