Description

A delightful fusion of fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake, enhanced with fresh blackberries for a rich and decadent dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then remove it from heat and stir in granulated and brown sugars until fully combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes, then mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder, mixing until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish.
  7. Evenly distribute the cream cheese mixture over the brownie base and sprinkle with blackberries.
  8. Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top and use a knife to swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set but still slightly fudgy.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For a richer treat, consider adding chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter. Garnish with fresh mint and additional blackberries for a beautiful presentation.
