Description
A delightful fusion of fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake, enhanced with fresh blackberries for a rich and decadent dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then remove it from heat and stir in granulated and brown sugars until fully combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes, then mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder, mixing until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish.
- Evenly distribute the cream cheese mixture over the brownie base and sprinkle with blackberries.
- Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top and use a knife to swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set but still slightly fudgy.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice into squares and serve.
Notes
For a richer treat, consider adding chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter. Garnish with fresh mint and additional blackberries for a beautiful presentation.
