Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb Cajun sausage
  • 2 cups chopped green cabbage
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Chop the cabbage, mince the garlic, and slice the Cajun sausage into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced Cajun sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  6. Toss in the chopped cabbage along with paprika, salt, and pepper, and sauté until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  8. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 5-6 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Toss the drained fettuccine into the skillet, coating each noodle with the sauce.
  10. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
