Description

A light and airy Cheddar Soufflé Omelette topped with sweet maple popcorn, combining savory and sweet flavors for a unique brunch experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for cooking
  • 2 cups popped popcorn
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Optional: Chopped herbs (chives or parsley)
  • Optional: Diced vegetables (bell peppers or spinach)
  • Optional: A pinch of paprika or cayenne

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Separate egg whites from yolks, whisk yolks with milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture. Gently incorporate cheddar cheese. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, pour in egg mixture, and cook for about 2 minutes until edges set.
  3. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until fluffy and golden brown. Meanwhile, drizzle maple syrup over popcorn, tossing to coat. Serve the omelette topped with the maple-coated popcorn immediately.

Notes

Feel free to customize the omelette with different cheeses, herbs, or vegetables. For a vegan version, use a chickpea flour mixture instead of eggs.
