- 6 cups sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the apples by washing, peeling, and slicing them, discarding the cores. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix the old-fashioned rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly.
- Pour the apple mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle the crisp topping over the apples. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
