- 1 cup coarsely ground coffee
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Milk or cream (optional, for serving)
- Ice cubes (for serving)
- Sweetener (sugar, honey, or a sugar substitute, to taste)
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and equipment, including a large mason jar or pitcher, fine mesh strainer, and stirring spoon.
- Combine the ground coffee and cold water in your jar, stirring gently until the coffee is saturated.
- Seal the jar and let it steep in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.
- Strain the mixture to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid.
- Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, adjusting sweetness with your preferred sweetener.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour your cold brew over the top, then top with milk or cream as desired and garnish with a cinnamon stick or whipped cream.
Notes
Feel free to customize flavors with additional spices or flavored syrups. Store leftover cold brew in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
