Ingredients
Scale
1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups green cabbage, shredded
1 cup red cabbage, shredded
1 carrot, grated
1/4 cup mayo
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon sriracha (or to taste)
Salt to taste
Optional: avocado slices
Optional: fresh cilantro
Optional: thinly sliced radishes
Special garnishes: lime wedges, hot sauce
Instructions
Prepare the Fish: Start by patting the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Coat the Fish: In one bowl, whisk the egg. In another bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs. Dip each fillet into the egg, then into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently.
Air-Fry the Fish: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the breaded fillets in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking oil. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Make the Slaw: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbages and grated carrot. In a smaller bowl, mix mayo, lime juice, sriracha, and salt. Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss until well combined.
Assemble the Tacos: Warm your tortillas. Place crispy fish on each tortilla, top with spicy cabbage slaw, and add optional toppings.
Garnish and Serve: Squeeze lime juice, add cilantro or avocado, and drizzle with hot sauce if desired.
