  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Instructions

  • Cook the pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of the pasta water before draining.
  • Sauté the shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through.   • Finish it off: Squeeze the lemon juice over the pasta and toss in the chopped parsley. Adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.
