Description
A comforting dish of tender steak bites smothered in rich garlic butter, served with smashed potatoes. Perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (chopped)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 lb baby potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat. Prepare your baby potatoes by washing them thoroughly and placing them in a large pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
- Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper to the cooked potatoes and gently smash each potato.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in the preheated skillet, then add the steak pieces, seasoning them. Sear until browned on all sides.
- Add minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet, stirring frequently to avoid burning the garlic.
- Pour in the remaining butter and let everything simmer for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Plate the smashed potatoes and top with steak bites. Drizzle remaining garlic butter sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce or red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
