Description

A delightful dish of grilled salmon paired with a tangy-sweet blackberry sauce, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Salmon Fillets (4 pieces)
  • Blackberries (2 cups)
  • Honey (1/4 cup)
  • Balsamic Vinegar (2 tablespoons)
  • Garlic (2 cloves)
  • Olive Oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillets and blackberries. Mince the garlic ahead of time.
  2. Add honey, balsamic vinegar, and minced garlic to a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it simmers. Add blackberries and let it cook for about 10 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Brush the salmon with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and grill skin-side down for 6-8 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 145°F, basting with sauce in the last few minutes.
  4. Transfer salmon to a serving platter, drizzle with additional blackberry sauce, and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

Serve with seasonal vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Optionally, add toasted nuts or feta for garnish.
