Description

A heartwarming blend of savory ground beef and nutty Brussels sprouts, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients, so everything is ready to go. Preheat your stove to medium heat and prepare your Brussels sprouts by washing, trimming, and halving them. Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Having everything prepped will make the cooking process smoother and more enjoyable!
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing them until they become translucent and fragrant—about 3 minutes. Next, add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until it’s browned all over, approximately 5-7 minutes. Once done, drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the Brussels sprouts, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using), mixing well. Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, then cover the skillet. Allow it to cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are tender and bright green, soaking up all the delicious flavors.
  4. Once everything is cooked through, give it a final stir and taste for seasoning, adjusting if needed. Serve hot in a large bowl or directly from the skillet for a rustic feel. For added flair, garnish with parsley or Parmesan cheese to enhance the dish’s appeal.

Notes

Fresh ingredients lead to the best flavor. Feel free to customize with additional spices or herbs.
