Description

A delicious and simple dessert of baked pears with cinnamon, ideal for cozy gatherings and seasonal celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears (Bartlett or Bosc)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon butter or coconut oil
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • Greek yogurt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with butter or coconut oil.
  2. Wash and dry the pears, then slice them in half lengthwise and remove the core.
  3. Combine honey or maple syrup, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter or coconut oil in a small bowl to create a glaze.
  4. Place the pear halves cut side up in the baking dish and drizzle the glaze over them.
  5. Bake the pears for 25-30 minutes, or until tender, basting occasionally with juices from the dish.
  6. Serve warm, optionally topped with Greek yogurt and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
