Ingredients

  • 1 large Baguette
  • 810 Fresh figs
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 8 ounces Burrata cheese
  • Fresh thyme or basil to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling

  • Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch slices.
  • Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.
  • While the bread is toasting, slice the figs in half.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Heat over medium heat until it thickens slightly, about 10 minutes.
  • Layer the toasted baguette with a generous dollop of burrata cheese and top it off with the halved figs.
  • Finish with a drizzle of the balsamic reduction, fresh thyme or basil, and a pinch of salt or pepper.
