Description

A refreshing beverage that combines the warmth of chai spices with a luscious salted caramel foam, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Chai Tea Bags (2-3, or 2 tablespoons loose chai leaves)
  • Water (1 cup)
  • Milk (1 cup, or a milk alternative)
  • Ice Cubes (1-2 cups)
  • Salted Caramel Sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • Cinnamon (optional, ½ teaspoon)
  • Nutmeg or Ginger (optional, pinch)
  • Whipped Cream (optional)
  • Chocolate Shavings or Grated Nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by boiling 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and steep tea bags in the hot water for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Combine the brewed chai with 1 cup of milk and mix well. Pour over prepared ice in a serving glass.
  3. Whip ¼ cup of heavy cream in a separate container until soft peaks form, then gently fold in 2 tablespoons of salted caramel sauce.
  4. Pour the chai latte mixture over the ice-filled glass and top with the salted caramel foam. Add extra caramel sauce and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Notes

For vegan options, substitute milk with almond or oat milk and use coconut cream for the foam. Store leftover chai in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
