Description

Delightful mini donuts coated with cinnamon sugar, perfect for cozy gatherings and sweet memories.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Additional sugar and cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your mini donut pan with non-stick spray. Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature for the best mixing.
  2. Combine all your dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Whisk together in a separate bowl the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Gradually add your dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fill each donut cavity halfway with batter and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool slightly, then toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  7. Serve immediately on a platter or arrange them for presentation.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute the egg with a flax egg and use a vegan buttermilk alternative.
